Terms of Service

These Terms set out the conditions for using SmartReview (the "Service"). By signing up, the merchant (the "User") agrees to these Terms.

The Service automatically generates a sample review draft for Google Maps based on options a customer taps after scanning a QR code. Whether the sample is posted or edited is entirely up to the customer.

Users sign up through the method we provide and pay a monthly fee (¥100 for stores in Japan, $1 for stores outside Japan). Fees renew and are charged automatically each month.

If monthly usage exceeds a certain volume, a small metered charge is applied automatically for the excess.

Users must not do any of the following when using the Service:

• Requiring or asking customers to post reviews based on experiences that did not actually happen.
• Offering money, discounts, or gifts in exchange for a review or to steer its content.
• Using the Service in a way that violates Google's policies on reviews.
• Improperly modifying, copying, or reverse-engineering the Service.
• Violating any applicable law or public order and morals.

We may suspend a User's access without prior notice if any of the above occurs.

Sample reviews are generated automatically by AI. We do not guarantee their accuracy, appropriateness, or that they do not infringe any third party's rights. Users and customers are responsible for reviewing and editing the content before posting.

Copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or the rightful third-party owner. Generated sample text may be freely used by Users and customers for the purpose of posting a review.

Users may cancel at any time through the designated process. Service ends at the close of the current billing period, and no further charges apply. Partial refunds are not provided for amounts already paid.

We may change the content of the Service, or suspend or terminate it, without prior notice to Users. We are not liable for any resulting damages.

We may amend these Terms without prior notice to Users when we deem it necessary. Amended Terms take effect once posted on this page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If the User is a consumer residing outside Japan, any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the User's country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement shall take precedence over this clause to that extent. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our location as the court of first instance.
